Cagbalete Island, Mauban, Quezon (2014)

*Summer is over! Late Post for our Cagbalete Beach Trip :) The Sun is screaming Summer Heat and it is pretty much unbearable with the Global warming that is happening now. But of course, if you can't beat the heat, better hit the beach! ;) Here's a quick review of one beautiful beach that can be found only a few hours away from Manila,  Cagbalete Island .  HOW TO GET THERE: I would love to share how easy you can get your way to Quezon but just by using Google Maps or Waze you will not get lost (turn on that GPS!!) especially if you are bringing your own car :) If you would want to know how to get there via public transportation, I will be linking detailed blogs at the end of the review. Once you get to Mauban, Quezon, you can leave your car in several parking spaces for rent before you make your way to the port. Lucky enough, our chosen resort (Dona Choleng) have their own parking space and it is free of charge! :) From there you can ride a tricycle t

Potipot Island, Candelaria Zambales (Summer 2014)

(c)FayeHusena However cliche' it may sound, true enough, love is sweeter the second time around. Fairly my second time to this beach made me fall in love with its sand and waters once more. Trust me, this place will never disappoint. :) It may get a little crowded at one side of the beach when its summer but the whole island is spacious enough to accommodate more. WHY POTIPOT ISLAND IS A MUST SEE THIS SUMMER: Panoramic Shot of the uncrowded part of the beach located at the far side of the Island. (c)FayeHusena 1. It is only a 4-6 hour drive away from Manila (Private) . I believe it usually take longer hours if you travel via public transportation. No worries though, because the road to Candelaria, Zambales offers a nice scenery! Best to travel early in the morning to avoid the traffic and the scorching heat of the sun! :) Tree House at the Island Proper 2. Get to the Island proper within 10 minutes only - that's a quick boat ride! We drove all th

Caramoan Islands, Camarines Sur

View from the top! We visited Caramoan Islands in March, summer of 2013. I can definitely say that this is one of the best beaches I've been to! Here are our photos! :) Taking a photo of one of the boats in the Pier before heading to Caramoan Proper. Arriving at Caramoan Mainland. We rode a Tricycle that brought us to our Inn. Island Hopping at its finest!! :D Matukad Island. The beach which has the finest sand. This is our first stop. You can trek in here to see a better view from above! :) Lahos Island Group Shot! Lahos Island Groups Shot #2! This Island is remarkably unique! It is almost sunset and we still cannot get over taking pictures. :)) On our way back to our Inn. Day 1 was tiring but it was all worth it. (I did not include some photos from other Islands we visited.) Baging Beach is the other side of a two-sided beach. Here you can find rare flat rounded shells with the shape of starfish at one side. ;) I think it is where starfish

Puting Buhangin at Kwebang Lampas, Pagbilao, Quezon (2014)

Lovely Puting Buhangin Beach and Kwebang Lampas View! (c)FayeHusena  I'm in love. That's the first thing that came through my mind when I saw this gorgeous beach from afar. Who will not fall in love with this kind of beach where everything seems to be perfect? Fine white sand, clean long stretch of the beach, clear turquoise water, and then there's this beautiful cave. So happy that my friends and I found this place and this beach trip kicked off my 2014 perfectly! Let me share to you our adventure! HOW TO GET THERE: We reviewed some blogs before we went here and we found various ways on how we can actually reach the place through public transportation but only few blogs discussed how we can reach the place through a private vehicle. Anyhow, since we had our own ride, we decided to take this route (way to Bicol): 1. From Manila, we took SLEX and found our way towards the end of Calamba and followed the signs to Batangas 2. Make your way to the left - road

Burot Beach, Calatagan, Batangas (2014)

Picture taken at around 11AM before we went home! :) (c)FayeHusena What can be more exciting than an unplanned beach trip with your favorite people? We have been talking about going to different beaches but we never thought we will ended up going in one just a few weeks after. This goes to my friend, who we celebrated her birthday in this beautiful place! :) HOW TO GET THERE: It is not easy to go somewhere not-so-far yet far enough to ask Google maps how to go that place. But we are thankful enough to have found blogs sharing different routes on how we can peacefully drive to Burot Beach in Calatagan, Batangas.  By Car (Private Vehicle) 1. Take the route going to Tagaytay (through SLEX - We took the Eton Exit) 2. Head straight to Nasugbu, making a turn to Lian-Calatagan 3. Arrive at Calatagan Proper - Municipal Hall 4. From there, you can ask locals on how to make your way to Burot Beach! :) By Commute (Bus - Tricycle) We brought our own car that's
